In this section of the Digital Archive, you will find the onomastics inventory of the villages in Vallès Oriental and some others of the current Moianès region, prepared by Enric Garcia-Pey i Pey. The author transferred it together with his documentary collection to the Municipal Archive of Granollers in December 2018.Onomastics is the branch of linguistics that studies the origin and forms of proper names of places. Unlike the other sections, you will not find documents, but records with the information of each of the names listed in the inventory. For more information on how it was made, at the following link you will find the methodology, and the documentary and bibliographic sources.It is a living work that allows us to make contributions to improve and expand it.
